How I teach
My framework for how I teach each lesson is based off my own experience receiving lessons when I first learned. A piano upbringing instilled in me the core basics of music and music theory, which I implement as a piano teacher.
My teaching style is simple: FUN with FUNdamentals! I will help my students conquer their fears of the myth that learning music is difficult and convoluted. I make it my primary goal to veer away from the strict and intimidating instruction one often receives, but to instead implement a fun and welcoming approach. We will take it slow, step-by-step, and allow the student to progress naturally.
I also assign fun supplemental activities to be completed at home as part of my curriculum. These are age appropriate activities that engage your student by adding literature, technology and visual arts. These areas add creative expression to help make young beginners learn the piano and LOVE learning a typically traditional instrument!
